What’s new in July?

It’s been pretty quiet over here these last few weeks! Like every year, while we dream of drinking mojitos on the beach, the Deer&Doe team is busy non-stop with preparing the new collection.

And this year, we have even more work than usual… Between some construction work in our studio that has been slowing us down over the last few weeks (I’m being thrown back to the beginning of Deer&Doe with a desk crammed up in a corner of my living room 😉 ) and us trying to get a head start on various projects to prepare for my maternity leave, it feels like we’re running a marathon!

Still, we are close to finalizing the patterns that you’ll discover at the end of august: on the menu, the eagerly awaited new edition of the Bleuet dress, modernized for the occasion, two new patterns, and a little surprise 🙂 . We have put a lot of work into this new collection and we hope you’ll like the result!

We hope you are having a great summer, and we’ll be back soon for more sewing inspiration!

I can’t wait to see your new patterns and the updated Bleuet! The original is one of my favorite dresses!

I’m really looking forward to your release of Reglisse in pdf, will it be soon?

Reglisse should be one of the next patterns to be released in PDF! We don’t have a set date yet as we are focusing on the new collection at the moment, but we’re doing our best to release it asap 🙂

When I saw there was this new blog post I was just hoping there would be some mention of Robe Bleuet. Thank you from the depths of my heart. Poor Camille had to deal with my constant inquiry about when Bleuet would be back. There is a shop here in the US that still had the pattern up until a week or so ago and I was saddened when it sold out because I was trying to hold out for the new version but was going to grab this if I just couldn’t wait any longer for an update. I don’t know why I was so anxious as I have been pregnant since November. I suppose because it is a gorgeous dress and I wanted to make sure I added it to my collection to be ready to sew up post-baby girl. Thanks, Camille for always kindly replying. You guys are an amazing bunch and everything this blog mentioned sounds incredibly exciting and fun for those of us who adore you all and your beautiful work. This girl is so excited. Cannot wait to make Bleuet and share it with the world and scream from the rooftops.

I am so sorry Briana, this may have been my fault, I was desperately trying to find the Bluet pattern here in the U.K. I then found one in a US store who kindly shipped it over for me, it appeared to be the only one in the world! Hope the new version is just as fab.

I don’t remember the Bleuet dress. But have been hesitating over the Lupin jacket for me. I’m rather big busted (in proportion to the rest) but think it could look good so will give this a whirl. Also, for my daughter, really love the Centaurée dress. Each time I see a gorgeous pattern, the creative mental process is most of the fun.

Longing to see the new collection.

How exciting Eleonore that you are expecting a new baby. Look forward to seeing a photo of the baby if that’s possible on the blog!
