After looking at tees and blouses yesterday, let’s talk about the bottoms included in our new book Dressed – Concevez et cousez la garde-robe qui vous ressemble.

And there’s something for everyone! Simple lines and more complex designs, high- and low-waists, elastic waists, zipper closures, pockets, gathers and pleats.

La jupe

Incredibly easy to sew and wear, this skirt can be made in any color, length, and fabric you like! We spent a long time perfecting its A-line shape and flare to make it extra flattering, and its lining will allow you to wear it comfortably even in the colder and warmer months.

Le pantalon

These straight-cut pants with slightly tapered legs might be the most versatile pattern of all. Make them out of chino or suiting for office pants, denim or velvet for a casual style, or even linen or rayon as shorts for hot summer days. You’ll never take them off!

La jupe-culotte

Chic yet relaxed, these culottes are sure to get you noticed and will bring a special touch to your wardrobe. Sew them in a rigid linen to accentuate their sculptural aspect, or in a thick rayon for a romantic drape.

We’ll finish this overview tomorrow with the dresses and jackets patterns!
