With over 4500 posts on Instagram, Myosotis is one of our most popular patterns ever. It was the obvious choice for the next pattern to update in our complete size range, and we are so pleased to finally offer you this pattern in sizes 34-60 (up to a 60” hip)! We could not be more proud of how it turned out, and can’t wait to share our reviewer’s photographs with you later this week.
Myosotis is a shirtdress with a slightly oversized fit. Version A of the pattern makes a statement with wide ruffles at the sleeves and hem, while version B is more subtle with plain sleeves and a simple gathered skirt. This pattern is suitable for a wide variety of woven fabrics, so you can make Myosotis in a lightweight airy fabric for spring, or layer it up in a chic flannel for fall. The possibilities are endless, and this is a dress you’ll love to sew again and again.

Choosing a Size
Like every clothing line, Deer&Doe patterns are designed based on one morphology in particular (also known as our “block”). Our patterns are drafted for a C-D cup, a larger waist-to-hip ratio, and an average height of 1m68 (5’6″). That does not mean they will not fit if you have a different body shape! But you may need to make pattern adjustments to get a better fit.
You can take a closer look at our full measurement charts here. The first size range goes from size 34 to size 48 and is developed from a size 40 block. The second size range goes from size 46 to size 60 and is developed from a size 52 block. If your measurements fall in the overlap between the two ranges, we recommend trying both versions of the pattern to determine which size range is a better fit for your body shape.
