Elodie (test) and Tori (review) both chose a drapey rayon to sew a floor-length Magnolia, which gives their dresses a dramatic flair perfect for special occasions.
Diane (review) used an Indonesian batik for her dress which mixes the neckline and skirt of view A with the butterfly sleeves of view B, while Jessica (review) played with a sheer fabric to create a romantic version B.
Julie (test) and Emilie (review) prove that version B of Magnolia is the perfect everyday dress, whether it is in rayon or denim!
Mary (review) is ready for the rodeo in her rayon dress with a fun equestrian theme, and Marie (review) chose a geometric print for a very chic version B.
Last but not least, Vesna (review) created an autumnal version by shortening her dress to a midi length!
Our pattern testers have worked with us closely while we were developing the pattern, and provided feedback on the construction and fit. The projects shown above are final test versions that are almost equivalent to the final pattern!
Our reviewers did not take part in pattern testing, and so did not provide feedback during the design phase, but have received the finished pattern in exchange for a blog post. The opinions they express on their blogs (which we recommend visiting!) are their own, and we have encouraged honest and constructive criticism!
