Today we’re looking at version B of the Passiflore dress, which hits right above the knee and can also be worn as a jacket!

Like we did with the previous version, here are three different styles in which we imagine this dress.

Office ready

You can’t have missed the blazer trend last year! Get your own twist on it by creating a suit-inspired dress: choose lightweight fabrics (4.5 to 7 oz.) with some body and a smooth and satiny finish. Rayon twill, cotton sateen or a thin gabardine would be perfect.

Trench Dress

This is a particularly versatile style as you can wear your garment as a dress or as a jacket depending on your mood! To channel the trench coat vibe, use lightweight fabrics (3 to 7 oz.) with a slightly crisper hand, cotton sateen or twill, or even tencel or linen.

Modern Romantic

Pair the retro silhouette of Passiflore with contemporary colors and patterns for a modern and charming effect! Aim for very lightweight, flimsy fabrics (3 to 4 oz.): rayon crepe and challis, cotton voile… and don’t forget to adjust the weight of your interfacing 😉
